This past weekend I traveled to Washington, D.C.. to check out the Nike Women’s Half Marathon.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt on 10th and H streets. First of all…the walk in was breath taking. I think guests sleep better just knowing that there is a lagoon in the lobby.

When I got to my room I almost wanted to go to sleep at that moment, but I had an agenda. Georgetown’s newest addition: the BHLDN pop-up in their Anthropologie. I settled in, called an UBER and headed over. I jumped out and lo and behold, what’s the first thing I see on M Street? Nike.

I did my shopping, stopping by lush to grab a bath bomb before headed back to the hotel to grab a bite and take a bath in order to go to sleep crazy early.

Going to sleep so early was worth it because I woke up at 4 a.m. refreshed and ready to go. I checked out of my personal paradise and headed over to the waterfront.

Shivering and watching the sunrise over the water was phenomenal. Everything came together by the end of day and the weather was beautiful. I even got home just in time to see the latest Game of Thrones episode. All in all, a perfect weekend!
