Happy Valentine’s Day Weekend!
Last year I shared Free People’s Love Stories for the holiday because both my boyfriend and I were working and just made dinner together and watched movies. This year we planned a bit better and celebrated early with some dim sum in Chinatown and holiday cuteness.
Enter Catbird. Located on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, Catbird has become an icon for gifts and jewelry. They’ve been in business for ten years, and their shipping in the tri-state area is unbelievably fast.
First up: Floating Wish Paper.
A European celebration tradition, perfect for birthday parties, weddings, boozy rooftop evenings, raucous brunches, long picnics, short parties, brisses, baby-namings, christenings, a fraught walk to work…you know, the whole shebang.
Instructions!
1. Close your eyes. Make a wish. Don’t forget to close your eyes!
2. Light paper with match.
3. Watch it rise & gently float back down..
4. Catch the paper – wish fulfilled!

Second up: Love Balloons.
Balloons to help take your love as high as the stars. Fill them up and swoon! Seven balloons in a mix of dreamy marble and phrases. Phrases include: You Blow Me Away and However Far Away I Will Always Love You. Made by our great friends at The Great Lakes Goods.
What’s Valentine’s without a love letter?
Last, but certainly not least, I had to make some baked goodies for the special day. Since I have an unhealthy obsession already with macarons, I decided to go ahead and make some of my own. Passion for Baking had a fabulous recipe.
